I want friends, many friends,
But not the burden of modifying them.
Not the desire to make them my image,
Or construct them as per my vision of perfect.
I have just one,
Clearly defined image of friendship,
And it looks like laughter,
Rest and Normalcy.
I think Friendship is,
The only real home we build,
Like several different clouds we dwell in,
Ensconcing us whenever we will.
These homes are partnerships,
With the people who touch our lives,
A type of realty with immeasurable square footage,
But zero money-price!
But not the burden of modifying them.
Not the desire to make them my image,
Or construct them as per my vision of perfect.
I have just one,
Clearly defined image of friendship,
And it looks like laughter,
Rest and Normalcy.
I think Friendship is,
The only real home we build,
Like several different clouds we dwell in,
Ensconcing us whenever we will.
These homes are partnerships,
With the people who touch our lives,
A type of realty with immeasurable square footage,
But zero money-price!
