The people we lost

From the diary (written, early 2012)

They went away..

Because we got busy,

Because we got too fast. 

Because new people came,

Because of unappreciated games.

Because of unforeseen tragedies,

Because of unexplored remedies.

Because of a moment of fleeting importance,

Because no one cared to complete a sentence.

Because of new opportunities,

Because they (Which) came with oceans and seas.

Because of someone who seemed better,

Because of un-pursued spirit and letter.

Because we failed to realize what’s going,

Because we were too proud for bowing.

Because of shame, because of guilt,

Because we didn't ponder how long it took to build, how much it mean't.

Because of one moment of bravado,

Because they were ever-present, like shadow.

They went away,

They're gone,

All the people we lost,

What did we gain albeit?

And was it worth the cost?
